Gourmet Dinner: Pizza To-Go

What a long day, and what a long week… I am so very glad it is Friday evening. Finally. And the evening will turn to be perfect as soon as J gets home.

I was thinking of cooking a gourmet meal for us tonight but really didn’t have time for preparations. Or actually not even looked at recipes, thanks to my procrastination with reading for the child development exam. I literally spent Wednesday and Thursday nights nose in the books, and even fell asleep with them.
So that being said, tonight’s dinner will be delicious pizza at home from Moose’s Tooth, and a glass or two of red wine. If you ever visit Anchorage, this is a must-go restaurant/brewery in town. After tasting pizzas in a number of places here and abroad, Moose’s Tooth definitely gets very high scores on my favorite restaurants list.

My today’s exam went surprisingly well. It was actually hard to believe how easy the questions were; especially when knowing how lazy I had been when preparing for the exam. But oh well, I won’t complain!

Our weekend will probably be rather uneventful – carving pumpkins and probably baking some cupcakes. I still need to choose the pumpkin carving patterns; this site looks pretty promising. And as far as cupcakes go, Mrs. Muffins is a great source of information. And not only for cupcakes but all kinds of recipes!

Alright friends, I hope you all are having a great night/day – wherever you are! See you soon again.

MilSpouse Friday Fill-in #18

It is time for the MilSpouse Friday Fill-In, so here we go.

You know the drill –  head over to Wife of A Sailor to join.

1. Are you a night owl or an early bird?
I would consider myself more of an early bird although on the weekends it usually swaps around, and we sleep in and stay up late in the evening. But I get more stuff done when I get up bright and early, and I do love mornings.

2. What makes you jealous?
Hmm, this is difficult one. I am not very jealous type of a person but I would probably be jealous if J was deployed or something over holidays while everybody else’s hubbies were at home.

3. Have you started Christmas/holiday shopping yet? When will you finish? (There’s only 63 days left!)
Thanks for reminding, now I will definitely have a stress about holidays! I haven’t started holiday shopping yet. However, I have been looking at things to buy, went to a crafts fair a couple of weeks ago just to see what they had and gather ideas for presents. I have bought a bunch of fabrics for new holiday table runners and placemats, so have started a little bit. I usually gets all the gift shopping done about a week before Christmas.

4. What would you have a personal chef make you tonight?
What a great timing for this question! J is coming back from the field, and I am trying to figure out what to cook. I wish we could have a personal chef! I would probably choose Greek food tonight. We went to a very nice Greek restaurant in Chicago a couple of months ago, and the food was so delicious – we both loved it. I have never had moussaka that delicious. Paired with Greek red wine.

5. Where was your first kiss?
My first real kiss was when I was 17. I had been dating this boy for a few months. It was a Friday night after movies, and he drove me home. So I had the first kiss in his car.
