Alaska may be remote and cold, and snowy. There are days when I miss this and that from the Lower 48. However, nothing beats the natural beauty of this state.

Last weekend Jason and I went hiking, and I, as always, dragged my photo gear with us. It truly does make a great workout when carrying nearly 30 lbs of cameras, lenses, tripod and whatnot in the woods. But it was worth all the work. The winter Alaska looks like Narnia.
White, quiet and so pristine. Magical.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
It does look like Narnia…how magical.
It’s absolutely gorgeous here. Especially when the weather is cold enough, the frost on the trees is pretty…
Wow! I feel like I have the same remark for all of your pictures. But, nothing does it justice. Alaska is absolutely beautiful.
Alaska truly is super pretty. You guys should come to visit us :)
Stopping by from MM – beautiful photos – I love Alaska.
